I don't know...the nail varnishes that have a disgusting taste didn't stop me, so i guess it's just yourself that has to make a promise not to bite your nails anymore =/

Sally Hansen products are best , I find anyway. Try Sally Hansen Nail Biter or Sally Hansen Nail Hardener/Stregthener.
They usually cost about 拢5 in the shops and supermarkets but I got them from a market and paid 拢1 a piece for them.

Stop 'n' Grow worked for me! it tastes horrible so you dont bit them. costs about 拢3.50! try it! u do need will power too though!
You know what helped me, The fact that if you chew on your nails you can get worms. It's no fun.
Go and get nail extentions put on professionally. You'll love your new nails so much you won't bite them.
Stop using toilet tissue in the toilet, you'll soon stop biting your nails.
