If people with one arm go to get their nails done, do they pay half price?
One is shocked...
After a brief Tele-marketing survey of the 6 closest beauty salons in my county, claiming to be V'onda the one arm Vampire... drag queen extraordinaire and Shark breeder, i can state that their responses were mixed.
Two hung up on me upon my introduction (how rude), three of my little sample group told me that their rate was based on a minimum time per appointment (拢20 an hour) so that they couldn't offer discounts (when i asked how long it took to do a pair of hands two of them said ';an Hour'; and one hung up on me) and the last one (god bless em) said they couldn't offer a discount but would throw in some beauty products free to make up the difference.
This is most worrying... I'm outraged! If only the wider world knew of this injustice! I'm going to contact my Representatives in the house of commons...If people with one arm go to get their nails done, do they pay half price?

I don't think so. The establishment probably didn't consider serving one-armed clients in their pricing model. I am going to sell some square nails that a friend of mine and I dug up from an old house on HIS property, on Ebay. We are not sure of the exact age of the house, but we do know it was there before his great grandfather owned the property, which is around the late 1800's. Most of them are in perfect condition with the execption of some rust. We are going to sell them in either groups of 5 or 10 so an estimate on both would be greatly appreciated. Hair: Okay, first wash your hair. If you have any styling products like mousse or texturizing spray wax, which would work especially well, use them. Rake it through damp hair. Then blow dry. Flip your hair upside-down while drying for volume. Straighten your hair, but flip it wayyy up at the ends to get a choppy effect. Use hairspray to hold!
Nails: I was actually thinking a sparkle-y black but if you think neon looks better go with that. :]
Makeup: use a black liquid liner and line your eyes in a cat-eye way. Then finish it off with a shimmery nude gloss or pink. Whatever you prefer. For eyes, you could also consider smokey eyes if you're okay with heavier makeup. But since it's just the 8th grade, I think the cat-eye will look great considering it's 'cleaner' than smokey eyes.

Gel Nails Pricing?? Varies?
I've been getting acrylics done for a really long time now and I love them and all, but I've decided to switch to gels, because in my opinion, they look a little bit nicer.
The only thing is I called my usual salon, it costs $50 for a new set of Gels, then I called a different salon, it costs $30. I've heard Gels tend to be more expensive, but at my usual salon it seems like Acrylics are more expensive. Should I go with the more expensive salon? I have no idea what to do.Gel Nails Pricing?? around 30 to 40 dollars you would pay they would last for about two weeks then you would have to get a fill which mean they just fix them up to look good as new that costs 15 dollars um and it doesnt matter how shorts your nail are they could do it . the only thing is they are really hard to get off and ruin the top layer of your nail but personal experience ive gotten them a couple times and i love them they havent ruined my nails yet though they look good to and french goes with any outfit lol hope i helped

French Nails without paying the salon price?
Have any of you girls used those fake glue on french nails ... You usually find them at your local CVS or Wallgreens? Are they good? I'm asking b/c I use to be one of those women to spend $30 on gel fill ins every two weeks at the nail salon. It became to be too much of a bad habit for me and it just wasn't worth it anymore. i used to use them all the time - the little $5 kits. they are nice for a special occasion if u dont wanna pay full price. but they dont stay on long. the longest mine lasted was i think a week. u pay more for salon but those stay on for a month with out a fill usually - for me atleast. its deff worth going the cheaper route if ur just looking for a nice nails for an event but its get to be a pain to do them every week if u want to keep them. ur better off goin to a salon for them if u want to continually wear them....it is worth the money.

I was on the job site when the new Floor Guy cane to do it and He charged Him 1875.00 for what I was doing it for 700.00!!!! . When I go out to give a price The customers always say ( I am getting Many prices) I thank they just do this to Make me give a very low Price....How do I nail down pricing a job?

thats a hard one to answer, as it depends where you live, prices really do range from area to area and i mean you can pay 拢20 and then 5 mins away it could cost you 拢40..... your best way to find out is to ring the local salons and check what they say.
you say she works from home if she has a salon room set up in her house then i would expect to pay the same as a salon but if its in her front room with the whole family then make sure you dont pay to much.
i would really recommend you ask her the price before you go, you could say you wanted to bring cash and just wanted to make sure you have enough.

ok babe......hares a home remedy...clean ur bails for any signs of polish thoroughly also cut ur nails n file them(not too short k) n then u massage them with warm olive oil n after that soak them in water with a pinch of salt n lemon. after that, (if u want a cute clean look)apply transperant nail polish n use a white manicure pencil for ur nail tips.....if u want a dashing look....apply a bright nailpolish...u are gonna look great gurl....all de best!!!

What do you think is a good price for getting Acrilyics nails?
Where I go, it's $20 for the full set and $13 for the refill. They have silk wrap also which costs either $25 or $30, can't remember which and $18 for the refill. Most places are close to that. It's the other stuff where they get you. Where I go, to get them cut it's only $2, but I've seen $5 at others and 90% of their designs and airbrush are free. You get what you pay for. If you go to a budget/cheap nail salon then you will get budget nails and I can guarantee they will ruin your nails! I charge $50 for a set and $35 for fills.

What are the prices for fake nails?
okay so i live in Nj, i want to get some gell nails, the fake ones. But i don't want the arcylics. My first question is, how much do they run for a FULL set? How much do they run for tips (the nails)? And by the way i want a french maicure. how often do i have to change and get new tips? like every week, 2 weeks? what? how many weeks until i have to get a FUL new FUL set? how much does it cost normally for a french FUll set and TIPS? and how much for just 1 color? I'm not sure what the prices run in New Jersey....but typically a new set is around $40. You should get fills every 2 or 3 weeks. I use to own a small nail salon here In Texas before I sold it to move to San Francisco...and charged $40.00 for a set and $22.00 for fills. If you don't want acrylic you can ask for Gel. I only had 2 acrylic clients and the rest were Gel clients....only because I didn't like acrylic and i thought it was very damaging to the natural nail bed. I feel the need to give you just a bit of advice before you go getting your nails done. Please Please Please what ever you do...make sure that you go to a clean salon. I have taken many continuing education classes and they all discuss the importance of sanitation and disinfection. Many nail techs don't disinfect their drill bits. If you get acrylic they will use a drill to file down the hard acrylic and every once in a while....that dirty drill bit will nick your skin close to the cuticle. When they nick it it usually bleeds and hurts so they will reach for this dirty bottle of something to make the blood stop....only they touch the tip of that applicator to your skin where there is already dried blood from the previous client that they nicked! What I'm trying to say is that you must care enough and have enough balls to ask about their disinfection process. You can get sooo many diseases from just 1 little bloody nick on your skin. Can you imagine how many people they have nicked or cut with that same drill bit? If they don't use a hospital grade disinfectant to soak their implements in then it's not worth it. There are many clean places out there....but for every clean salon there are 50 filthy ones just trying to make a buck and not giving a genuine crap about their clients health. The same goes for pedicures.....all the bacteria accumulates in the drains and the jet holes. All the hot water they put in the bath is a breeding ground for dangerous bacteria. I would always tell my clients not to shave their legs before getting a pedicure. If you have open sores or anything on your legs or feet....you're leaving yourself open to dangers infection that could cause a life time of problems or even amputation. I'm not doing this to scare you, but just to make you aware of what is going on out there. The hospital grade disinfectant that is mandatory by the State Board is typically blue....and alot of salons are using Windex to avoid paying the extra dollar or so they don't have to buy the real stuff. Some of the diseases you can get from dirty implements and tables are tuburculosis, HIV, hipatitis etc.... there are many more but those are just to name a few. Please be aware of your surroundings and if it seems dirty then it probably is. Love yourself enough to care.

I'm hoping to get some done soon how much will they cost? Will I have to keep getting new ones or can I just have them once. I always used to try those do it yourself they are never that successful!!! I'm in the UK.

okay so i just got them and i loved them; im in the USA, so mine was 30 bucks; plus i got a design and that made it 35 and then i had to tip them witch was 4 bucks; but after i took my nails off they were a little damaged but they will grow back healthy in a month or to. because they sand your actual nail down so far it will be a little painful that night but take some pain killers ha. but no you can just have them once you dont have to keep getting them, because really there way bad for your nails. but if you get them filled it somtimes turns your nails yellow. okay hope i helped!
